New Book: One way, truth, life by Lorne W.P Vanderwoude

With so many doctrines in  the Christian world today, finding the truth can be very daunting.   In this collection of personal meditations on several biblically doctrines, Lorne W.P Vanderwoude seeks to reveal themes shared by different doctrines, and in the process heal the church.  

The Church of God which is a moment and not a denomination, is where my wife and I have chosen to put our hat into.  There are no membership lists and this is what I really prefer.  

In this book, I have tried to challenge the readers to study the Bible for their selves and to ask the holy spirit for direction.  There is only one truth, one way and one life which comes through one person, Jesus Christ who can inspire people to grow their own faith rather than to live the faith of others.  

There is only one body of Christ which contains only one list of members in one book which is only known as "The Book of life" which will be attended by God and his angels.  God is spirit who can take the form of anything right down to a human.  The Bible makes it clear that mankind was formed in the image of God.     God the Father, could have a human form as well as Jesus his son but the Holy Spirit is a spirit who lives inside of every person who has decided to invite Christ into their lives with the help of the Holy Spirit.  

So, who do you pray to?   Some people pray to God who can be in human form while at the same time he is a spirit who can be everywhere all at the same time.  Then there are those who pray to Jesus Christ, some to Mary and others to some of the saints including those who have departed from this world.  Humans do have a soul, spirit and a physical body.  Paul, in his first letter to the Corinthians, wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:51, Amplified Bible "Listen very carefully, I tell you a mystery (a secret truth decreed by God and previously hidden, but now revealed);we will all not all sleep (in death), but we will all be (completely) changed (wondrously transformed),  in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at (the sound of) the last trumpet call.  For a trumpet will sound, and the dead (who believed in Christ) will be raised imperishable, and we will be (completely) changed (wondrously transformed).  For this perishable (part of us) must put on the perishable (part of us) must put on the imperishable (nature), and this mortal (part of us that is capable of dying) must put on immortality (which is freedom from death).  And when this perishable puts on the imperishable, and this mortal puts on immortality, then the scripture will be fulfilled that says, "Death is swallowed up in victory (vanquished forever). O Death, where is your victory? O Death, where is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin (by which it brings death) is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory (as conquerors) through our Lord Jesus Christ."

There are so many churches around just here in our community alone.  I am not surprised why so many non Christians are just plainly confused.   In my book, I write about how Paul urged Christians to be united and not to form different groups which teach so many different teachings.  Paul wrote on unity and how the church should be one rather than in different groups all pitted against each other.  The life of the Christian should be to get ready to meet God at the end of his or her journey.  Paul tried to explain and to describe what will happen to each Christian when the time for them to die comes.  We will not all sleep.  We will not just be dead but rather we will be changed and receive new bodies.  The new bodies we will receive will be eternal and will live on forever and forever like our bodies were made to do before the fall of mankind.  Sin will no longer be where the Christian will end up going.   The sting of death is sin.  The power of sin is death.  So when Christ died on the cross for our sins, death was defeated so that every true Christian can spend eternity with God up in heaven.   

This is why I go to a church who believes in the world wide church.  This Church moment is the Church of God.   There is only one truth, way and only one life which we can all have through Jesus Christ.         

My rewrite of my third book.

 I am now starting to publish our fifth book, which will be titled, "One way, one truth, one life.  This Friday will be my phone meeting with my author account manager to start the publishing process.   I am covering every topic from how our words affect us for positive or for negative.  Then I went into why there are so many doctrines even after the apostle Paul had urged the church to get along with each other.  The doctrines of salvation, death, hell, heaven, communion and foot washing, membership, as well as the truth behind Covid-19, are covered in my book. 

I remember my first author account manager, Susan Mayo, who helped me write my first book.  I tried to write a book from the perspective of a fictional resident in a fictional nursing home.  I realized most of those who read my book did not appreciate the message I was bringing to the average public.   One of my family members called my book "trash," which really did make my blood boil.   The disregard of the hard work which I put into writing this book was not really nice.  It was hard to see my royalties measure 0 months after month, which really was very discouraging.  I tried so hard to promote my book by doing a book reading at the library and on our local community channel, where I sat and read from my book.  However,  I saw my royalties range from 0 to a few copies, which was not helpful when paying for advertising the book.  

It is tough to realize that I do have to spend a lot of money to promote my book because I cannot influence my society.  This new project is so important to me because to launch my writing career into a place where we are earning enough money to advertise this book where people would actually buy my book in their favourite form.

This is why this rewrite is so important for my development in my writing career.  I dream that someday we will be able to take the extra money and buy a house for us to own.   However, royalties of 0 will not help us pay any bills.  This is why I need to nail this in a market with so much competition around this world.  Time will tell the story if this latest amount of money will be worth it or just another write-off on my taxes. 

I am now continuing my blog on January 3 of 2022.  There has been a lot which has happened from the last time I wrote until today.  The manuscript has been edited and I have signed off on this new book's manuscript.  There were two edits done to this book.  There was a proofread and content edit.  I had five people read this manuscript which they gave me some feedback from reading it. 

I also purchased a back cover copyedit of this book so I will get the back of this book sounding as professional as possible.  This was one of my errors which I did when I published the last four books.  I did the back cover myself.  I do need to have this book as appealing so that with my book return insurance policy when a possible buyer picks up this book in a bookstore, the likelihood of them buying it will be greatly increased. 

I also purchased a half-page book review in the  Friesenpress book catalogue which would give exposure to my new book to those who are looking for books to purchase.  

This is where I am at in this process of publishing my fifth book.  Mid-January is when the back cover should be ready for me to look at.   I will keep all of you up to date as developments arise.

www.lornewpvanderwoude.com is my new author website.  I am now writing my fourth book.  It is called "The Life and times of Lorne W.P Vanderwoude.  I am in the process of publishing this book.  It should be in Bookstores by February 2018.

     I start my new book off right when I was born and go through all the years until the present.  This book is one of the most important books in my writing career.  

New book out in book stores

          This is our second book which was published officially in December of 2014.  The main theme of this book is this.  Our actions in life do affect others.  Just like the web, everything is connected.  We are not islands in the ocean. 
     This book is written in the third person.  Janet and Steve are the main characters of the book.   They both have problems.  Janet was affected by the drugs that she was taking.  Her actions were affected by these drugs.  Her family was affected so they tricked her into getting some help for her drug addiction.  Many people do not have loving family members like Janet did so she is very lucky.  However, there are always people who do take advantage of those who are easily preyed upon.  Janet finds herself in a very compromising position.  She was lied to and used for someone's pleasure.
      Steve was being blackmailed by Janet.  Janet knew that her strict father would suspend her if he knew that she had been late for the past six months.  So, she pretended to have a relationship with him.  She kissed him and made out with him at work.  If he told her for being late, she would be prepared to lie to her father about the relationship which was not happening.  Steve knew that his job was in the balance. 
     The story is weaved with deceit, lust and alternative motives.  However, how much that Janet tried to control the situation, God showed up and showed them all who really was in charge.  So many times we feel that we are in control of our little worlds.  Yet it is really God who allows things to happen to us.  All things work together for those who love God.   The web which we weave.  This web is often recreated by God to form our lives into something more beautiful than what we can ever imagine.   

This is the beginning of a new year.  Right on the first day of this new year, we have the Carbon Tax.  It was what we just needed to have.  Another tax to suck more money out of our poor lacking accounts.  Many of us Albertans have lost our jobs and had to settle for less paying jobs.  We as Albertans need money.  We do not need another tax which will take money which we do not have to pay for this NDP government's overspending of our money.  We need real leadership.
